Just recently we’ve published the best practices of business blogging. It discusses how to become an effective business blogger and the importance of blogging to an inbound marketing strategy. It is the primary way that your target market will find you on the web. Equally important is the content of your blog and frequency of your blogging. So before you run out of brilliant ideas for your content, here are our top ten tips in creating great content.
By now, you have probably finished a blog. Not just a blog but interesting, educational, very entertaining and relevant to your audience. Then, what? It must not stop there. What’s next?
Have you ever experienced reading a blog and then you start watching a video recommended in the blog post? Consciously or not, you are directed to a new and unanticipated page or site. That’s because you’ve clicked on something that’s irresistibly compelled you to do so. That’s the work of a call-to-action. And that’s what you need in your blog to direct your reader into your marketing funnel.
It is an action-oriented button or banner or text and or some type of graphic on a webpage or website that is meant to prompt a reader or listener to actively respond to the call and click on it. In inbound marketing, CTA is essentially the strategy to entice the reader or viewer to take action and direct a visitor into a landing page where he or she voluntarily gives contact information in exchange of your offer. It’s the key to convert a visitor into a lead and hopefully become a customer through lead nurturing and relationship building.
In other words your blog, no matter how good the content, is nothing if it doesn’t have a good and compelling CTA. In order to increase visitor to lead conversion opportunities, you must create calls-to-action and place them across your website, and optimize them.
